ARTISTIC ANATOMY:
The study of anatomy is the central focus of this class, starting with an analysis of the human skeleton and learning how the major muscles groups relate to the bones. The instructor uses lecture and detailed hand-drawn schematics to help inform the draftsperson or sculptor’s sense of a well-proportioned anatomically correct figure. This class will teach the student to see the body’s basic, underlying structures. Strong emphasis will be placed on anatomical issues such as proportional relationships, muscle origin and insertion, surface forms and skeletal structure. 8 weeks.
INTERMEDIATE LEVEL
